Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage City, is famous for its wine, but also for the richness of its monuments, which combine antiquity and history with the contemporary spirit of remarkable buildings.

The region of Northern Portugal is still one of the most unspoilt in the country. The fauna and flora are exceptional.

The Douro crosses this region, through the ravines and mountains of the hinterland to traverse the entire landscape where the world-famous port and Douro wine terraced vineyards are cultivated.

There is also the country's magnificent third largest city and one of the oldest, Braga. It was ranked third among European cities with the highest quality of life in 2018.
